When any hockey player scores two goals in a game, he deserves credit almost by default, as scoring even a single goal is always a gameworthy accomplishment.
Three goals is, obviously, a "Hat Trick", and only true hockey fans know the difference between a 'natural' hat trick and just a regular one.
But four goals in a game? What, exactly, do we call that?
That's exactly what Pat Creamer managed to accomplish last night at Smithfield Municipal Ice Rink, as our guys continued their winning ways with a convincing 7-0 win over the Cranston West Falcons.
As usual, The Network was there, and a full crew contributed to our in-game production: Cam Brennan did his usual stellar job on play-by-play, and he was joined on color analysis by both Max Zweiner and Ben Macksoud. Stone Freeman handled the social media updates, and Darren "DSquill" Squillace handled the camera for the entire game.

After a first period that was scoreless for nearly the entire opening frame, Creamer got things going for the Hawks with two quick goals about ten seconds apart, with about three minutes remaining. The first of those goals can be seen here:
From there the Hawks left no doubt, taking a 4-0 lead into intermission before finishing off the Falcons with three more in the final period. Andrew Hopgood's second goal of the night, which put the Hawks up 6-0, can be seen here:
For the game, The Hawks were led by Creamer's four goals and three assists, Andrew Hopdoof (2/1), Reilly Miller (1/2). and Eric Edwards (two assists).

The Hawks will take to the ice next this Friday night, February 6th, when they take on the Smithfield Sentinels at 6:30. The Network will be there with live coverage, which will be part of yet another double broadcast, as we'll also carry live the basketball team's game against St. Ray's. Gamtime for Hawks hoops will be 7 pm.
