No Title This Year, but Cross Country Continues to Run with the Best

Well....maybe it was just time. Six state titles in a row - with more on the horizon, no doubt - isn't such a bad record.

That's most likely what coaches Doyle, Brennan, and Lourenco will consider when they look back on the 2014 cross country season - along with the fact that our guys ran arguably just as well as they ever have. Many sports are games of inches; cross country is a sport of seconds and tenths of seconds. This fall's edition of the Hawks were consistently at or near the top of every race in which they competed. One second here, one there, and...who knows what could have happened?

In the end, there was no shame in falling short to our archrivals, LaSalle Academy, as this was their year, finishing as they did not only with lots of hardware but also as the third-ranked team in the country. The Hawks were in the discussion right to the end and can now look forward to moving seamlessly into the Indoor season.

Coach Brennan spent a few minutes with Network members Cam Brennan and DT Barron and reflected on the season.

The quality of the sound isn't too great here, so you may need to turn up your volume.
