Although the freshman Hawks did not receive a gold trophy for their efforts in Tuesday's cross country meet, they were able to overstep rival LaSalle Academy by one point. Before the game, Coach Brennan said that he felt his team was prepared and ready but that East Greenwich was as well. In the end, the Avengers were able to pull out the victory over the rest of the competition with a final score of 34, as they finished the race with runners in places 1, 3, 7, 11, and 12.

Barrington finished in second place, trailing by 64 points with a score of 98, while our guys placed 3rd overall with a score of 107 (topping Lasalle's score of 108 by a single point).

The young Hawks finished in places 10, 15, 23, 27, and although the young they didn't come in first place, their efforts out on the course were more than noteworthy.
