On Monday, October 6, the Hawks' cross country runners were at Goddard Park for their fourth dual meet, this one coming against Cranston West, Mount Hope, and Mount Pleasant. Seniors Jared Boulanger and Caleb George led the Hawks with times of 17:30. Hawks’ runners were told to be a bit more careful than usual out on the course, so that everyone could avoid injury.

Hendricken clinched 18 of top 20 spots, leaving Cranston West, Mt. Hope, and Mt. Pleasant filing in behind. Another outstanding performance came from sophomore Jeff Venter (fifth in North Carolina at 17:35), as he crossed the line in fourteenth place, finishing with a time of 17:52.

The Hawks’ next meet is Saturday, October 11, 2014, at the Manhattan Invitational at Van Cortland Park.
