....and we're under way, live from Hayden Stadium.
The Hawks Sports Network got another school year of Hawks' athletics started this past Friday morning with our second annual talk-under-the-tent show, live from Hawks' football practice. As usual, Network anchors Cam Brennan and Stone Freeman seamlessly guided us through two hours of sports talk, ranging from the local pro teams, to issues at the forefront of the sporting world (such as Johnny Manziel), and, of course, to a complete outlook of all the Hawks' sports teams for the coming year.
The entire show can still be seen on our home page.

The most significant element of the broadcast was, however, THE BIG SHOW UNFILTERED's (and Hendricken alum, '85) Pete Shepard being gracious enough to come back to his alma mater to lend his top-tier brand of sports talk to The Network. Mr. Shepard is always there to lend a helping hand to Hendricken in whatever way he can, and it's pretty safe to assume that we here in the hallowed halls of Hawkville consider him a lifetime member of The Network. With both Mr. Shepard and John DePetro ('82) of 630 WPRO to lend their guidance and expertise, the young up-and-coming members of the future of broadcasting and the New Media are in good hands.
Several figures from our football team stopped by for interviews during the show, including assistant coach Buddy Croft, all-stater and UMass-scholarship-commit Lee Moses, and head coach Keith Croft. The Hawks begin defense of their record-breaking four consecutive state titles in a couple of weeks.
So, with a successful beginning to the sports season in the books, we look forward to bringing to Hendricken fans all things Hawks' sports - live games, sports talk, articles, analysis, podcasts - you name it. Be sure also to mark October 3rd on your calendar, folks - homecoming - it's gonna be a BIG one.
Stay tuned.
