Yesterday was another in what is becoming a pretty significant string of successes for the still growing Hawks Sports Network. John DePetro, Hendricken class of 1982 and "proud Hawk", as he stated during the course of our time on his airwaves, was gracious enough to have several of the students from The Network in-studio as guests. Before we go any further here, it goes without saying that we here at The Network and Bishop Hendricken can't thank Mr. DePetro enough. It was a fantastic learning experience, and your willingness to help and contribute your time is what being a Hendricken Man is all about. Thank you again.

Of course, the biggest surprise of the morning was Mr. DePetro's giving The Network's two "rocks", Stone Freeman and Cam Brennan, the opportunity to pose questions to a Patriots' hall-of-famer, Troy Brown. Stone and Cam were understandably caught a bit off-guard, but as ususal, they quickly got their feet underneath them and asked Mr. Brown some pretty decent questions.

Once the initial Patriots' segment of our time in the booth was completed, Mr. DePetro discussed with his audience just what The Hawks Sports Network is all about and the fact that, in many ways, it is far ahead of what practically any other schools in the region are doing, from both a sports and a general media standpoint. Stone and Cam answered all the questions, but Johnathan Feeny and Max Zweiner, also in the booth with us, also received several mentions from Mr. DePetro.

It was a fantastic experience. We look forward to Mr. DePetro's coming in to talk with the students who'll be working in The Network this school year and providing us with any advice and assitance he may be able to offer.

Visitors to the site can listen to the entire segment on our home page by scrolling down, looking on the left-hand side of that page, and clicking on the header, "The Network on the John DePetro Show." Or, if you prefer, you can watch the segment at this link.

In each case, however, the quality is not as good as is typical, so please be patient.
